1. Italian butter

What’s in it? Olive-oil, salt, tomato

What should we know? The trick for this sandwich, is an alternative to margarine or butter. Put the bread in the oven. After it's warm, use a litte olive-oil, then take a tomato slice is in half, use this to smear the contents on the bread, a little bit of salt and you're done. You can put anything on top of it, I like cheese and chorizo/salami the most. Enjoy

6. Spanish and Norwegian Combo

What’s in it? Slices of thin (deli style) Spanish chorizo sausage.

Thinly sliced Norwegian jarsberg cheese.

What should we know? Simply slice bread in half and stuff as much of the chorizo and jarsberg as you like into the baguette.

You don’t need butter on this sandwich (and I’m addicted to the stuff) as the chorizo is oily enough but if you think it’ll be too dry for you, a little smidgen of mayo won’t go amiss!

The sweetness of the jarsberg really compliments the spiciness of the chorizo. Delicioso!

9. Chef Flaco's Special Sandwich

What’s in it? refried beans, steak, chorizo, two eggs (scrambled in with the steak & chorizo as it cooks), 1/2 avocado, pickled jalepenos & carrots, cilantro, onion, lettuce, tomato, mexican sour cream, mayonnaise.

What should we know? Chef Flaco at El Paraiso on Myrtle Ave. in Brooklyn makes this sandwich, and sells it for $4. It's absolutely amazing and you won't have to eat anything else all day long. Good for hangovers, too. I noticed it one day at the very bottom of the menu and asked him what was in it and his eyes lit up and by the time he got to the 2nd or 3rd ingredient I was sold .

13. chorizo and emmenthal

What’s in it? thinly sliced chorizo, sliced emmenthal, sliced tomatoes, rocket

What should we know? Break the chorizo up into pieces so that you can eat the sandwich more easily. This is nice with sunblushed tomatoes as well but you need to chop them up for the same reason as the chorizo.
