What’s in it? Mayonnaise goes on there first. Then a bunch of small shrimp. The some slices of avocado.

What should we know? If it’s done right, some shrimp will fall out of the sandwich with each bite. That part is annoying, but it’s oh so good!

8. Cornchipwich

What’s in it? Plain Corn Chips, Mayo, Marble Cheese, Shredded Lettuce, Salt And Pepper

What should we know? Take one piece of bread, add the Mayo, then Cheese (sliced thin or thick), and then add a layer of corn chips. From there add the shredded lettuce (i say shredded because it reduces bulk). Apply more mayo to the top piece of bread, add some salt and a bit of pepper to the top slice. Put the top slice on the sandwich and crush the top with your hand, which in turn crushes the corn chips.

12. Finger-licking ole!

What’s in it? 2-3 slices of thinly sliced jamon de serrano (Spanish ham)
tomato
manchego (spanish cheese)
mayonnaise

What should we know? Grill both sides of the bread preferably weighted down so that the bread becomes flattened and crispy (I use a heat-proof plate and a can of beans). When the bread is ready, rub the cut halves of the tomato onto the bread and press the halves on. Slather on the mayonnaise, layer on the jamon and cheese (not too much or it will be too salty), press together and eat immediately!

13. Duke of Windsor

What’s in it? Sliced leftover turkey
lettuce
mayonnaise
sliced sharp cheddar cheese
Major Grey’s Chutney

Toast bread. Pile on the remaining ingrediants. A great way to use leftover turkey.
It’s not nearly as good using the sliced ”sissy” turkey from the deli department.

What should we know? Said to be invented for the Duke of Windsor during the early 1930s, it remained a favorite of his throughout his life. This sandwich was always on the Neiman Marcus menu for many years. Then it disappeared.

What’s in it? At least 3 slices of Deli Ham
1 slice of packaged American cheese.
Spread ham and cheese with quality Mayonnaise. Can you say Hellmann’s.
Cover mayonnaise with a layer of potato chip crumbs.

What should we know? The potato chip crumbs adds texture to sandwich. Large chips spread across the sandwich are the squished and broken with the application of the top slice of bread. Serve with potato chips and a sweet pickle on the side.
Enjoy :)

15. Blow the Man Down

What’s in it? Kipper
Butter
Mayonnaise (Hellmans preferred)
Mustard (English) powder or Wasabi
Pepper
Lemon Juice

What should we know? Cut two thick slices - 3/4 inch.
Butter lightly.

Mix mustard or Wasabi powder with the Mayo, to taste.

Hard part - use very sharp knife to divide the kipper evenly into two fillets.

Place fillets on bread, drizzle with lemon juice, add a generous grind of coarse pepper, top with generous smear of mayo mix, and cover with top slice.

If you’re un-afraid of the wasabi-sinus slam this is a poweful autumn morning restorative. Great if you have to face a day in the North Sea or an early morning kids-parents swim at the local town pool.

At tea time it goes wonderfully with a small glass of malt whisky.

22. Libido

What’s in it? ham slices;
emmenthal-like cheese (leerdammer is good);
mayonnaise;
dijon mustard;
butter;

What should we know? Right, it’s CRUCIAL that you eat this hot. The rest is straight-forward: spread the butter on one slice, then abundant mayonnaise on the other. Put two slices of ham on one slice, and one on the other, and the cheese slice in the middle.
Now, close the sandwich and spread top and bottom with some dijon mustard (even if you don’t like it, TRUST ME) and put the sandwich in the toaster until the cheese melts and the mustard gets brown.

It’s filling and delicious
